The Young Professionals of Evanston are comprised of young (or at least young at heart) people who live, work or play in Evanston.  YPE at its core is an organization that brings these people together at a given time in a given place. YPE acts as a catalyst for these people to interact with one another to cultivate both relationships between individuals and between those individuals and the Evanston community.  
 
To allow our members to engage with each other, YPE hosts a variety of events throughout the year. We also provide forums on Facebook and our website for members to post information about other Evanston events and organizations in which our membership can get involved.For their involvement in YPE, members receive both tangible and intangible benefits. They receive discounted admission to all of our signature events (after 4 events alone they recoup the entire cost of membership).  Additionally, YPE hosts “members-only” networking events, professional skills development classes and speakers.
 
Intangibly, YPE members have the opportunity to cultivate relationships with their peers, share ideas with other young people, and create a sense of community.  Also, because YPE is a volunteer organization, members have the opportunity to join the Board of Directors and gain valuable leadership experience. YPE hosts a monthly happy hour at an Evanston establishment.  These happy hours often have themes such as: a charity drive, an art evening for members to share their talents, or gathering to watch an Evanston or Chicago sporting event.  We also host signature events throughout the year, including:
